Choose music for all ages for your big day

As you very well know it, music is more than important for the success of your wedding day. How do you make sure you choose songs that are meaningful and suitable for everyone at the wedding, regardless of the age? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  • For the ceremony, create an atmosphere that suits your wedding style and your love story. Yes, you are more than allowed to play modern songs – but be sure you give them a careful listen before asking your DJ to put them on as you walk down the aisle. If you really have to make someone else happy (but still want your modern song), consider the option of having a classic piece played in a modern way (or a modern song played in a classic, instrumental style).

  • For the reception, remember to talk to your DJ and see what are the songs that usually pack the dance floor. A good wedding DJ will know very well how to entertain a diverse crowd, no matter how young or old they may be – so he will know how to blend a bit of Beyoncé, ABBA and The Beatles together. This way, everyone at the wedding will be more than happy.

  • Remember the kids. If your grandma may not shy away from an inappropriate song lyric, the kids are surely not old enough to be listening to Work, Work, Work. Keep the songs fun for the little ones too, they will surely want to join the dance floor and energize everyone with their innocence!

J&M Entertainment provides brides and grooms with high quality wedding DJ services. If you are still searching for the right disc jockey, be sure to come and visit us – we will not disappoint you (or your guests) in any way!
