Ensure your Groom and his Groomsmen stay cool at your outdoor wedding
July 10, 2016
Having an outdoor wedding is a truly refreshing and beautiful idea for a spring or summer event. Yet, if you have your heart set on a warm season outdoor wedding, you should also make sure everyone feels fully comfortable while there – and your groom and groomsmen surely make absolutely no exception from the rule.
How to do it? How to ensure your groom and his guys stay cool at your outdoor wedding? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.
Do some research. We know you cannot actually predict the temperatures on your wedding day – not with that much in advance, at least. However, what you can do is to do a bit of research and see what the average temperatures are in certain months of the year. This will give you a better idea of what adequate attires should look like.
The venue and location matter. A beach summer wedding is not the same as a backyard summer wedding, even though the weather will still be quite warm in both instances. Take breeze into consideration, see if the venue provides any shading options (such as trees, for example) and find attires that are comfortable within these parameters.
Think beyond the classic tuxedo. Sure, it may be the most elegant option for men’s formal attire. But it can also be really uncomfortable in the summer – so think beyond that and see if you can choose something made from lighter fabrics. Avoid adding too many layers, especially if the wedding is a bit more informal – and if it’s a very elegant affair, be sure to skip the vests and stick to jackets and button-down shirts.
